Dislikes: This is a very light read that doesn’t go too much into depth into the history or progression of Chanel. Beginning with the works of jersey and the designing of hats, Chanel continued down the path of designing until producing some of the most well-known pieces to this day such as the classic Chanel bag, tweed suits and the little black dress. It was transformative reading this book and learning how groundbreaking she was and how she taught herself how to sew to make her initial designs and how focused she was on quality and elevating the feminine form with clothing that was elegant and practical!
